Church Services

Worship is central to our Christian faith. Services of worship are a way we can express our faith and grow together in God’s love, giving our praise and thanks to God in prayer and song, and listening to God’s Word read and preached.

We have online services of worship every week, as follows:

  • Sunday online services:
    • Available to listen to here (all services)
    • Available to listen to by phoning 0141 465 5553 (latest service)
    • (Note: usual phone charges for Glasgow area code apply)
    • Available to watch here. [FUTURE FEATURE]

Please note: We do not currently meet in the church building. This section reflects what we did prior to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Our weekly Sunday morning service of worship begins at 11.00 a.m.*, and usually lasts about an hour. It includes hymns, prayers, an all-age talk, Bible readings, and a sermon message based on the Bible passage.

We use screens to project the words of the hymns and Bible readings. Mission Praise hymnbooks and New International Version Bibles are also available, some in large print, for those who would like to use them.

Children

For those with Primary School aged children, Sunday School meets in the service, and then moves to their own activities, usually after the second hymn.

For those with pre-school aged children, if you feel you need to go out of the service at any time, you are very welcome to use an adjacent room which has a TV-relay of the service and age-appropriate toys and books for younger children. Please note that children must be accompanied by a parent or carer.

Tea & Coffee

After the Sunday service, everyone is welcome to stay and meet together over a cup a tea or coffee, which is served in the church hall.

Prayer

For those who would like to receive prayer after the service, please speak to the Minister. There is also a prayer area in the Sanctuary where you may like to sit.

Holy Communion

On the first Sundays of February, June, and October, the service includes the Sacrament of Holy Communion – also known as the Lord’s Supper.

Remembrance Sunday *

Please note: On Remembrance Sunday, which is the second Sunday in November, the morning service begins at the slightly earlier time of 10:50 a.m.

Please note: We do not currently meet in the church building. This section reflects what we did prior to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Every Tuesday morning a brief service is held in the Church from 10 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. Come along to this time of fellowship, where you are promised a friendly welcome. The atmosphere is informal, and consists of a Bible reading, a short address, prayer, and a hymn.

Afterwards, many of us join the Coffee Morning, held in the Large Hall. Alternatively, you may wish to stay in the church for quiet reflection. The church remains open until 11 a.m.

On Tuesday’s after Sunday Communion, a short, informal Communion Service is held at 10.00 am. All are welcome to these services.
