The Kirk Session is the court of Cardonald Parish Church that deals with pastoral and spiritual matters and decides general policy. The Session consists of the Elders, with the Minister as Moderator. Elders are recognised by the Office of the Scottish Charities Regulator (OSCR) as Trustees of the congregation, along with Members of the Congregational Board.
Elders are appointed for life. When some retire from attending meetings, they cease to be Trustees or members of Session, but remain Elders.
